Francis Hutcheson was a Legum Doctor and a professor of moral philosophy. He was born in Ireland and moved to Scotland to teach at the University of Glasgow. His efforts helped to found the Scottish Enlightenment. His works influenced people such as Adam Smith (a father of modern economics) and David Hume (a Scottish philosopher).
