About Us
Lux and Community is a multifunctional enterprise founded by a researcher and scholar named Joshua Sydes. Lux is Latin for light. Lux and Community is affiliated with all things dealing with light, including enlightenment. Lux and Community also integrates the revolutionary science of community psychology. Lux and Community offers some wonderful products, such as delicious and ethical coffee that is Fair Trade and Organic (a product is organic if it was grown without herbicides and pesticides). Lux and Community serves as a digital press and has published various documents, such as the discovery of laws of nature called the Laws of Elective Affinities discovered by Joshua Sydes and A System of Moral Philosophy by Francis Hutcheson edited by Joshua Sydes. Lux and Community also functions as a small ecommerce platform.
Our Story
Lux and Community, as an organization, is committed to providing our customers with things like empowerment and some of the greatest and most scarce coffee and oil in the world that is powered by renewable solar energy. The coffee in stock right now is either a single-origin from Peru or a single-origin from Sumatra Mandheling; and both are Fair Trade and Organic. The oil in stock right now comes from the Tulsi (Holy Basil) plant organically grown in Richlands, NC and is manufactured into oil. Tulsi was originally Ayurvedic medicine domesticated in India. Organic coffee does not include pesticides. This leaves customers with a cleaner and healthier cup of coffee or drop(s) of oil under the tongue as needed.
